COVID 19 - PRIME MINISTERS UPDATE
We would like to inform all our customers that we are continuing to remain open as we are on the Governments' Essential Business list - We understand with this situation that this could change at any point but we will endeavour to keep customers' informed as much as we can.
Whilst personal safety is paramount, it is also important to make sure all vehicles are safe for those needing cars over the next few weeks/months. We check over 100 items on your vehicle during a MOT to make sure they are safe for you to drive and safe to be on the roads.
We are taking all recommended precautions for health & safety as stated by the NHS guidelines & the Government. We are limiting face to face contact, waiting rooms are no longer available, only 1 customer in reception at any one time & MUST remain a minimum of 2 metres distance from our staff, loan cars are NOT available.
We are trying not to accept cash payments due to the current situation but we can take card payments over the telephone or direct bank transfers.
We are still continuing to offer a FREE collection/return service for any vehicles booked in with us - To AVOID unneccesary journeys - in the Felixstowe/Kirton area for all our customers (Does not include breakdowns/recovery).
If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact one of our team members on 01394 283245 / 672020 who will be glad to help where possible.
Please stay safe.
MOTs for Cars & Vans due from 30th March 2020 - 6 Month MOT Expiry Date Extension by DVSA
You do not need to do anything to extend your vehicles MOT expiry date if it's on or after 30th March 2020 - HOWEVER, you MUST keep your vehicle safe to drive. It can be unsafe even if your MOT expiry date has been extended (Tyre condition/Lights/Brakes/Steering are DANGEROUS failures) - You can be fined upto £2500, be banned from driving & get 3 penalty points for driving a vehicle in a dangerous condition (PLUS 3 penalty points per illegal tyre) - It is YOUR responsibility to ensure your vehicle is safe to drive. We are continuing to keep open for MOT tests & repairs (Priorities will be given to KEY workers) in an effort to limit the amount of unsafe vehicles on our roads.
